Designer, Artworker and Digital Administrator

Based in a converted farm building in a rural location about 5 minutes from Lewes and 20 minutes from Brighton, we’re a deliberately small team of experienced designers, developers and marketers working together to create maximum impact for our clients’ businesses.

About the role

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Brand implementation
  • Management and updates to client websites
  • Dealing with key clients and looking after their needs

You’ll be working closely with key clients and alongside all the members of our team and will be expected to make a positive contribution to the development of our growing business.

Over time, you’ll also have the opportunity to develop further and refine your areas of expertise within the business.

Key tasks and responsibilities

  • Designing digital and print assets in line with brand guidelines
  • Creating web pages and other digital assets using an initial design
  • Creating website mock-ups at various device resolutions
  • Designing and artworking printed collateral
  • Making edits in WordPress and HTML
  • Delivering great customer service to all our clients

Attributes, skills and experience

  • An eye for design, including typography, use of colours, composition
  • Sound knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Sketch
  • Good understanding of best-practice website design, UI & UX
  • Experience using WordPress, HTML and CSS
  • Great communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Attention to detail and an ethos of ‘getting it right first time’
  • Organised and logical method of working, even under pressure
  • Minimum 1 years’ commercial experience in a similar or related role

It would also be useful for you to have

  • PHP knowledge
  • Experience of managing web hosting
  • Experience of working in a creative agency
  • Understanding of SEO and other digital marketing tactics
