The brief

Lab.tv is a new web portal supplying all the equipment and consumable needs of research and pathology labs in the UK.

In the early summer of 2016, Tomango was commissioned to create the brand’s new visual identity, before rolling it out across a fully responsive ecommerce website.

Our creative team worked closely with Business Development Manager Ben Sturgess to pinpoint Lab.tv’s values and unique offering, and produced a detailed design brief before starting work on concepts for the brand identity.

The project

The concept we presented is stunning in its simplicity, with the bold FF DIN typeface offering an approachable “medical” feel, and the clever use of the uppercase Greek letter Lambda giving a subtle nod to the target audience of highly qualified scientists.

The strong brand identity is carried through to the fully responsive website and Ben and the rest of the Lab.tv team are very happy with the end result.

The result

Ben recognised early on in the project that placing his faith in Tomango would deliver a superb brand identity and high quality website. The new online venture has been successfully positioned exactly where it should be in its marketplace.
